I have a Coupe and did this mod a few months ago (http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=80432). You can run the LEDs along the plastic bit at the top of the divider but you really need a gap in the middle for the handle thing. In the end, after deciding that it was a bit "grey" in the eyes of the law, I moved mine to the back of the boot, stuck to the plastic, facing inwards. Bit more fiddly to fit nicely (have to take a load of trim up to run the wire) but probably better than the original position.

Thanks for all the interest, I'll be ordering the bulk of the bits soon and will probably get enough to make up 20 kits.
I hope those who have theirs will put some feedback up in case there's anything I've not thought of.
I'll be posting a link to a survey for orders to make collating responses easier and so I know how much of each colour LED strip to buy; those who already have expressed interest will still have theirs reserved.

Went to fit mine tonight - discovered my ever so lovely partner had decided to throw the strip light LED's away because she thought it was rubbish. This has now been collected by the council, so is en route to a landfill site.
She salvaged the cable though, because she thought it looked important :headbang:

I can find the housing singly but not the pins :headbang:
