I've found some new connectors that make wiring up LED strip easier and more secure.

With that in mind I'm looking to see how much interest there is in the boot light kit, no commitment, just a gauge to help me with numbers if I go ahead with it.

The all in price is still looking to be £10 (2nd class, paypal gift). I'll only be offering warm white and the kit will differ slightly from the previous pictures as there will only be one wire to the loom. I'm also going to look at best positioning on the boot tray as my own strip kept falling off the metal in the summer.

I added some double sided sticky tape to mine which helped it stay on the metal strip. Don't think there is a better location for it.

Mines holding up pretty good? Wiring was pretty straightforward first time?

I wouldn't upgrade unless this one failed for some reason. For people without its probably a good idea :)

Agree but I'm going to see what it's like on the roof tray.

Yeah, don't think it's worth an upgrade, the functionality is the same. If anything these make replacing the strip a little harder as they are better clips.

As you say, for the e85 there is a groove in the roof tray that is perfect. That's the one i used.

e86 might be more difficult.

Stolen my idea from the rood motor day? :P

Mines still perfectly stuck down nicely on the plastic roof tray in the 1st "recess" on the underside and completely lights up the whole boot and isn't seen when boot is open!

Still happy with my original kit

Voted yes, I'd be interested! Don't have the previous one you did, so this seems like a great idea :)

How easy is it to fit?

Could be interested in just the strip as already got the wiring from the first kit which I'm totally fine with but I also have had the issue of it coming loose

Actually just read the posts and probably easier looking at refixing mine....

So;
double sided tape (which one?)
Or move to the plastic tray (where and how?)

I've got a very cool white in the boot so it wouldn't really work for me but for anyone who does I'd say it sounds great for £10

These connectors make custom length easier and even cut to length on arrival. I don't know where you'd mount it on the coupe but a longer wiring run is possible.
If I had a coupe to try I could see what I could come up with but it would probably need more bits so come in at higher cost.

I sure have... my mind was made up when mine fell off in the summer as the metal got too hot.

I'm keen. I don't think shipping to NZ for something that size/weight will push the cost up much...
Cheers.
