LED Side Lights

I've been fitting my HID kit today and at the time when I ordered the kit I also bought some LED can-bus sidelights.

I've got a bit of an issue with them, they are constantly on

When not in the on position they are on but very dim. The only thing I can think of is that there's a small voltage coming from the blow lamp detection and its causing it to light up.

It's only a single LED so I'm now thinking I should of ordered one with 5 LEDs, I.e. more of a resistance.

Has anyone else had this? If so can you recommend or link me to a set of LED sidelights which won't do this.

Thanks

Mark

HIDs look nice though  :headbang:

Prob better getting those with a resistor in them... usually labelled "canbus"

Doubt getting a 5 led one without the resistor would fix this as the load will be the same!

The ones I have are can-bus, no fault detected but they won't turn off. Hmm

I think I might have found some better ones now and have phoned them to check if they are ok.

Which HID kit did you buy? Any pics?

I went for the HID4U.co.uk kit. This one....

I've used these on previous cars and have never had any issues so I stuck with them for the Z, I have some fitted pictures which I will upload tomorrow. No dramas with fitting, mounting the ballasts was neat and easy and a little fiddling with the lamp holder and it was all good.

Farmer - I've ordered some more now as I'm impatient  If they are no good then ill see if you still have them.
