Hi, My LED side light bulbs turned up yesterday and i want to go about fitting them.

Has any one preformed this procedure? I'm not quite sure even how to go about taking the heads lights out!? or is it possibly to complete the change without removing the lights?

Ive checked the How To section!

Thanks for any help! Joe.

P.S Haven't gotta sell my car no more!!

Good news about keeping the car

Basically turn the wheels to full lock to allow access to the panel at the front of the wheel arch. Remove the panel and squeeze your hand through to the sidelight bulbs. Test before you put them back so you know you have them fitted the right way round

I did fit some but later removed them when I did a major light upgrade to clear indicator inserts and CFL halo's.
Access as described by daveg and no need to remove the headlights.

Depends upon what sort of bulbs you purchased but unless special ones that have appropriate built in resistance, then you'll need to fit a 5w ceramic resistor in parallel to the sidellight circuit, inside the healdlight unit. If not you'll have a bulb out warning

You may also have to do some cosmetic work on the LED's as they protrude inside the headlight and can look butt ugly

are they the ones for Mstyle? because that is where i got mine from, can you touch the LEDs or do they short out like some other bulbs?

Thanks, Joe.

Not sure what oyu mean by touch LED's .....short out.

If you mean on halogen bulbs that oils from fingerprints impregnate and over time damage the glass and cause failure. LED's are robust little critters.

If of interest these are the type of bulb I used to keep away from the circuit board look of cheapo LED's (need ballast resistors though)
