LED Puddle Lights

One of the puddle lights on my car isn't working, and the one that does isn't very bright.

So I'd like to replace both with LED ones. Not projection ones with logos, just plain white, but much brighter.

Looking on eBay there are loads, some say compatible and some not.

So simple question, can someone recommend any that fit in a 2015 e89?

Thankyou

You could put an led bulb into the existing holder…

I used these
Thankyou.

I was looking at similar ones, so I have just ordered the ones you linked to.

So I got the lights the other day and just went to fit them. Unclipped the existing ones but the wires to them are too short to unplug the old light and plug in the new ones.

The drivers side one wasn't even connected, which explains why it wasn't working.

Just no slack on the cables.

So it looks like the door card has to come off, or at lease released so I can get my chubby fingers in there to try and sort it.

I have another thread about replacing the speakers, so might as well just wait till then and do it at the same time.

The wires a v short..I used a pair of long nose pliers to hold the wire/connector just enough to unplug and replug..the connector is a 90 degree rotation to unplug

I found the same issue with the length of the wires. I had one puddle light not working so thought I'd take this opportunity to replace with LED ones. I struggled with the short wires but managed to get the non working one connected. Still didn't work and after taking door card off found that it wasn't connected inside to the rest of the loom. Didn't see if the wires could be loosened to make them longer. Same short wire issue on the other side but after a little struggle managed to connect the LED lights. I have smaller hands so that may have helped.

Instead of white, or garish logo projection, an accent color LED looks great in these. I've replaced my interior and puddle lights with a blue led that is a bit more refined than fast n furious ground lights. I could see doing that with red, yellow, or green depending on what color you are accenting.

Managed to do this the other day. The passenger door was ok but the drivers door wasn't connected, hence no light.

Swapped over to the new ones, but the connections are quite loose, so put tape on them to "hopefully" stop them coming loose.

@Christopher72 I prefer the white look, as opposed to colours. And these ones are really bright.
