LED puddle lights

They do make them, it’s part 63312463924

There is an error on the BMW system saying they’re not available for the G29, but they are a perfect fit

BMW sells them as well, a bit more expensiver probably, but they come with only a few logos, so i didn't buy it i wanted my company's logo in it.

I believe you can just pop them out and disconnect them then pop the other ones in, you need to have a light already at the bottom of your door (not sure if all G29s have this).

Took delivery today of the Z4. They tried to pop in the BMW-brand lights and they don’t fit this model. Apparently BMW doesn’t make them for this car.

Five minute job, plug and play, couldn’t have been simpler.

Took longer for me to decide which slide to use :D

Like with most things, buy cheap and you’ll buy twice. The BMW projector is more expensive yes, but it’s a perfect fit, the colours are vivid and bright.

How did you go about installing them? Was it a pain in the butt?

Similar yes but a totally different design to the one pictured, particularly with the way the slide is now encapsulated between two pieces.

Wish I’d taken photos before fitting now :headbang:

are they like this in which case the lens just slips outpuddle.jpg

I got mine fitted. Not sure they fitted them right as it’s not a perfect circle. How do you change the slides. You can twist the lens out, but I can see where they put the slide.

mine are broken already
There's a bit of dirt or something inside the lens or the emblem is damaged, but they installed it at the dealer, so it should be a warranty thing.

Apparently the part isn’t aftermarket available in NA yet which is why you don’t see it on boards or even on the bmw parts site. BUT, the bmw warehouses are stocked full of them. You have to get your dealer to order it as a replacement part (ie it was supposed to be installed at the factory and it came in doa so the dealer has to “replace” it. Works well.

So I finally got my LEDs installed. The dealer was able to order them. They had to be a little "creative" when ordering it since it's not available as an official "aftermarket" accessory in North America yet (which is why you only see them online in Australia and the UK).

Had these in my E89 as well, had the impression they faded after a couple of weeks. But then again, the logos of the original bmw ones disappeared as well after a while. Decided to swap back to BMW original leds for the new car and ordered a set of extra logos.
