LED Number Plate Bulbs Fitted

Received my eBay led bulbs today and fitted them when I got home at 9:30pm!

Can't believe the difference and for £6 you can't go wrong.

I've also got a set for the sidelights but haven't fitted those yet.

You wouldn't believe how easy it is but I'll pull them out tomorrow and take some pics for a little write-up if people want it.

Step by Step (will add pics tomorrow) ;

Unclip the bulb casing from the bumper (pretty tight but just pulls out)

Twist the small bulb holder going into the back of the casing and pull out

Pull the bulb out

Replace with LED

*Check the bulbs now - You need to get the polarity right*

If its not working just put the bulb back in the other way round!

Connect everything back up and Roberts your mothers brother!
 
just bought some of these pal, let us know how you get on with the sidelights! Will probably get some of them too :)

Fitted the sidelights tonight.

Easy enough with the wheel off.

For some reason my xenons look green in these photos but they are normal in real life!

Not easy to see in the day but its much better.
 
looks good :) did you de-tango the headlights yourself? massive improvement isnt it!

You dont have a link to the sidelight bulbs do you? make sure i get the right ones :) thanks
 
The sidelight bulbs are exactly the same as the number plate bulbs! Just order 2 of the same from my link in the OP!

The headlights were de-tangoed before I bought the car. It was a massive draw for me when I saw it for sale!
 
I done a write up before, especially the bit where you have to bend the clip back into shape to make sure that the light fits back properly again as you bend the clip during removal.

Yes near enough white.

It's very hard to photograph them on a phone but this gives an idea of the colour of the light up next to the xenon headlight.

Yes. Their exactly the same bulbs so give off the same light.

The light itself is white but obviously looks a bit yellow due to the reflection off the plate.

I disagree. Tried for about half a hour to dislodge my number plate bulb holders. Neither would budge. Gave up in the end.
