Led Lights

Good evening gentlemen i have a slight problem on my z4 .The problem is the LED lights on my car interior heating are continuously on they only go off after ten minutes when the engine is switched off .If any one has any ideas I would be much obliged. David.

Yes,that sounds feasible because the car at the moment is kept outside my house in all weathers .Thank you David.

I would get the battery tested if I were you as when they are on their way out the cars electrics are well known for going haywire. As the weather is getting colder, older batteries are prone to failing.

I know z's can also do strange things when the airbag control unit that sits on the transmission tunnel towards the rear (under the coin holder thing) gets wet but you would probably know if you had manged to do that, it wouldn't happen with just condensation.

I would suggest changing the title of the thread to something more specific, eg "help, dash lights staying on'.

As you have said check the battery which I have ,the battery was very low so I charged it and then refitted the battery and the lights are still on although the auto light has gone out.

My money would be on your battery needs replacing! Once they go past a certain point, they never perform the same!
