Hi all, i've fitted led sidelight bulbs to my E85. The bulb out light is on on the dash so I'm going to get the error cancel resistors.

What I'm wondering is, If the bulb blows will the car still let me know the bulb is out?

you could code out the checking of the bulb when warm / cold to remove the light on the dash

Is the bulb warning on when the sidelights are switched off and when switched on?
You can code out the cold and hot monitoring of the bulbs. Coding out the cold monitoring will stop bulbs flickering when the ignition is switched on. That might only really apply to the low or high beams though.
To answer your actual question - the bulb warning might still come on when a bulb blows but it depends on how much load the resistors present and whether a failed bulb still brings the current draw below the threshold to trigger the warning. Best option would be to put compatible bulbs in; there are many on the market.
