LED brake lighitng strip

When I bought my zed all the LEDs on the brake lighting strip on the boot lid worked. However, after a month, 3 or 4 no longer light up. It leaves the car looking un-loved, like it's had it's teeth knocked out!

Has anyone had to replace, and is it an easy job? What are the costs?

you talking about the third brake light?

bit fiddly but pretty easy to replace - you can get a clear one from Soper's in lincoln £49.45 delivered... welll it was last week when I bought my replacement. They give 12.5% discount if you mention the forum :thumbsup:
 
Yes third brake light. Will give Soper's a try. Do they do red ones too? Do they just pop out when removing?

Either red or clear. there are a couple of nuts on the inside of the boot lid IIRC.

be careful about over tightening them or you'll crack the corner off the lens
 
yep red or clear - red is slightly more expensive though :?

three nuts on springs, you can access them better if you remove the plastic covers in the boot lid...

echo the above, avoid over tightening.
