led board from 3rd brake light

Hi
Wanted 3rd brake light LED board. E85 facelift
has anyone got a LED board from say a cracked 3rd brake light they have replaced.
Surprisingly my Lens is ok but half the Lights don't work.

Hi Ian - I've got an old red brake light that I took off my last car. It has a crack in the middle but the LEDs all worked last time it was plugged in. Not sure when I'll be able to get it posted but you can have it for a small contribution to my V-Power consumption, say £25 posted ?

The crack is so fine you'll be able to put it on your car while you figure out how the hell the other one comes apart :wink: Split the difference - £20, and I guarantee it will be in the post tomorrow :D
 
I have had it apart before, I am willing to have a go at replacing the led board for £15 any more and I'll just buy a new one.
I know you Scotsmen like to drive a hard bargain, but I've got red hair .LOL
 
It's not hard bargaining - offer, counter-offer, meet in the middle, deal done. It'll cost me about £4 to post it, needs wrapped properly so it doesn't get any more damaged, and at least one other broken one was sold by srhutch recently for £25 plus postage. I think £20 is reasonable when a new one will set you back more than twice that.
 
I'm only after the led board if I could get one cheap I thought I would have a go at fixing mine, I have already done a repair on it once hence I know how it comes apart, yours is still serviceable as a complete unit and as such is worth the £25 to someone who wants a complete unit. Therefore I respectfully decline your offer, it's not about the money its anti "throw away Britain" I don't want to try a repair which might not succeed for the sake of another £30 for a new one.

That offer was £20 posted though, just in case it was unclear. So actually I'd be selling it for about £16.
 
Where abouts are you? I just removed a working red one from my Z4 with a crack down the middle and would give you it for a tenner if you could pick it up.
