Leatherz and Saituning - some basic questions

I'm a little bit bored with my black leather and brushed aluminium interior,

so I've been thinking about some accents that would brighten it up.

:!: Are the existing plastic rings a simple snap-in job? They seem easily removable, but I may be mistaken.

:!: Do you guys think it will be an aesthetic fit, or maybe my Zed will look like a mongrel?

:!: Isn't the centre armrest detrimental to shifting hard and using the e-brake while driving?
 
I like the silver rings - you can get one for the sport button, and also for the light switches on eBay.

As for the Leatherz stuff - I have read on here that actually the armrest helps with gear shifting and levels up your arm with the door arm rest so much more comfortable. As for using the ebrake when driving...how often do you do handbrake turns :? Seriously, not heard a bad thing about them. As for looking mongrel... Not sure, unless you get the dash wrapped in red leather tool...

As for handbrake turns, not as often as on my FWD "Captain Slow" Tiburon, but it happens.
 
Not a fan of silver rings but if you like them, go for it. They are easy to remove & replace just need to be placed correctly on climate control unit which has slots on it for the rings to sit on.

Leatherz stuff are nice, like the leather arm pads for the doors.
 
Wouldn't do either TBH, but I don't like chrome in the interior.

Regarding the armrest, fine if you have an auto but with manual and ZHP for example it can be a bit tight I've heard.

I've never had an issue with the centre armrest being lower than the door.
 
I've a LeattherZ armrest, very well made and great for resting your arm on when driving. I also use it to lever myself out of the car without leaning on the bolsters when the car is in the garage. You do have to adapt gearchange a little as the lever is level with the top of the rest, not an issue really but if you fitted a lower gearshift might be awkward.

So, it seems I won't be getting the centre armrest. Beautiful and useful as it is, it would compromise the fun factor a bit.
