Well as soon as it is done there will be loads of pics available, I'm also going to attend some meets this years so people can see it in the flesh.

Well get them up as soon as it's done, I'll post up my full set if it's as good as hoped.

Are you going to have it as per OEM bmw? So the same seam style etc? I think it's worth doing, as without it always looks a bit off.

I did mine in 5D carbon wrap before I went back to piano black.

I'm Looking for viable option to fix my scratched aluminium dash. Was going to get it 3M 1080 brushed aluminium vinyl wrapped, but the guy who would do it said they couldn't guarantee the contours of the scratch wouldn't show through so they didn't recommend doing it unless the dash scratch was sanded/filled to make a perfect surface. Unfortunately that means if I didn't like the vinyl wrap, I couldn't go back to the original Aluminium underneath.

I hate the aluminium trim.
I'd either sand , fill and get the trim sprayed or dipped piano black or buy some piano black trim on ebay (very difficult to find pristine condition)

My preference is the piano trim looks better than the carbon leather

I hate the piano trim.
Scratches, fingerprints, scuffs, smudges - it'd do my head in seeing them.
(actually I don't 'hate' it. It looks very cool, but just not practical for me)

They are all valid points.
I have a microfiber cloth in my car to wipe all the shinies down haha

The big scratch on my Aluminium dash drives me bonkers - having piano black trim would probably just make my head explode...

Back on topic, definitely looking forward to how the leather trimmed dash looks :thumbsup:

Yours has the CF though? Benefit of the M (unless some unusual owner has de-specced / flimpered it).
 
Little update, I'm dropping the trim off Sunday and it should be ready for collection next Friday. Will get some pics up as soon as I have it.
