Leather steam cleaning

Few days ago I bought for my wife the Karcher 1702 steam cleaner...4 bar pressure and ability of producing a dry vapor. Nice I said to myself, but how it can improve detailing my zed, started a search and found few articles. One of them is below:

It is interesting because when you think you have manage to bring your detailing skills to perfection, someone somehow brings it to much higher level!
 
I'm gonna say thats fake, as the leather looks pretty much new, no creases or marks that would make that kind of aged discolouration a likely reality. It looks like they've made a new seat look dirty and simply washed off whatever they used to dirty it up.
