Leather seats / door cards inserts

Every Z4 i've seen pictures of with leather seats and door card inserts have the leather of the door card insert quite rippled...i take it this is normal?
Also the leather of the seat bases seems to have a ripple effect to it slightly due to use i guess, is this normal after a only a few thousand miles?

The door cards are rippled on purpose - as I've seen cars with less than 500 miles with the same effect.

The seats are another matter - they will get stretched as they are used, but with proper feeding & cleaning they should maintain most of their elasticity and come back to more or less original shape.

I'll get a picture of mine when I clean them next - they've got 15,000 miles on them.
