Leather Dash & Console Trim

Looking to buy a Carbon Leather or Black Leather 2 piece Dash & Centre Console Trim for a Z4 Coupe 3.0Si Sport. Please let me know if you have a set to sell. Doesn't matter if it does not have holes for Sport Button and Airbag Off Light as these can be cut out.

Thanks
Saul

Still on the hunt if anyone has available or knows of anyone breaking a Z4M (as think these were standard in the M) Respectful offer awaits...

We are looking at the leather dash, console, and headland panel trim bits available as a kit from J-F-Customs, vendors on Ebay. UK based company, New Malden in Surrey. Pricing seems good. Probably not a job to tackle unless you have had tons of experience with adhesives and leather. Best done by a professional trimmer. As an alternative can recommend the carbon fibre 3 parts assemblies produced by carbonized-bg.com They did the work for our E86 coupe to a top standard for a reasonable cost including courier out to the colonies (New Zealand) we are delighted.
Both of these options you can have fitted to your car for considerably less than the carbon options second hand off a M coupe. We looked at two sets from different sellers and they were badly marked, hence we travelled the road we did with C/F. Third option is to remove and get the bits painted gloss black.(Piano black) and refit. Another coupe purchase looms unfortunately it has the ali trim and thinking of the leather option for this car.

You can see the results of the JF Customs kit, as installed by someone else on the forum here.

To me, the issue with these kits from JF Customs is they literally seem to stitch 2 bits of leather together and don't do any thinning which means there's an unavoidable ridge at the seams. And when you fit it, it's virtually impossible to fit straight/aligned to the sharp edges of the trim.

Here's the link to a forum member who was offering replacement Piano black pieces.

The kit fitted in the link supplied looks OK, perhaps the stitching is a trifle off piste around the light switch, and so does the piano black option. We have found both leather and adhesive difficult to work with, which is why this option is not the best for the DIY'er with no skills whatsoever!

Thanks all.
I’m probably going to wrap in 3D or 5D 3M Vinyl as seen some great results. Will post images when done...

Have requested a sample from Carbonized in Bulgaria as I do like the idea of having a proper Carbon Fibre Skinned Panels rather than the Faux CF Vinyl. Looking like it would cost in the region of EUR600 inc replacement panels (both dash, centre console and door grab handles) and shipping to the UK. I'm curious as to whether the skinning adds too much added thickness in places given how tight all these panels fit? Any photos of them in your E86 would be great to see?

Here you go. We chose the satin or low sheen finish. Everthing fitted like a glove, although the console bit around the ashtray was problematic, easily fixed. Took a while to do, but youtube was invaluable. Gets a lot of favorable comments too.

That does look fresh. It would be great to see the CF continued across the housing for the 2 gauges too but bet they are a pain to remove...

Have you thought about hydro dipped as a solution. I did and it cost me £140 for all three pieces and looks ok.

Decided to have a go at wrapping for the first time.
Covered in 3M Dinoc. If this lasts I’ll be very happy, if it peels off in time I’ll look into proper Carbon Skinning again. Thanks 🙏🏽
