If it was mine I'd go for one colour. If the grey middle bits show the dirt, then clean them!

Yea it's not the first time I've owned this colour, it's far from just cleaning them.

I know! I had the same/similar colour seats in a 328ci. I found that cleaning and nourishing them frequently was necessary.

Whichever way you go, it will be better than all black which is what I have. It does feel rather dark with the roof up.

Good luck!

I always use the Auto Glym kit and a leather brush, I've got Furniture Clinic deep clean for when there's a stubborn stain but you have to be so careful.

If my headlining/visors were not grey I'd have prob gone for completely different colours but it will look odd right now.

Thanks for the help everyone

Comparing side by side, I'm even more sure that I prefer one colour.

I would agree with you, But they look completely different in the car.

It's personal preference really, what swung my choice of car was the fact it had 2-tone seats, I thought they looked awesome, but they're not everyone's cup of tea...

That's the problem when you ask the question on the forum - everyone has different preferences!

Leather ordered today. Gone for 1 colour, original pearl grey colour. I think it breaks the interior up a bit as there's quite alot of black already and i dont have to have the doorcards done.

Thanks to everyone who gave some input and opinion. Jamie, thanks for the Photoshop, that made up my mind

Are buying the skins from BMW or having them retrimed else where?

Having them retrimmed at a place not far from me. I did price up the skins but its was over £2000 for both seats.

All done, very happy and glad I went for the single colour. The trimmers gave me what was left of one of the leather hides so i may look at doing a couple small bits.

What was the total cost?

Just over £1k, not really the expense I wanted but the seats were pretty ruined by the company that painted them. Unfortunately the pre cut and stitched skins were not available for Sport Seats only SE, so they were hand cut and stitched, which bumped the price up. I can't fault the company though, perfectionists and generally nice people to deal with.
