Leather Care

Does anyone have any tips of recommended products for looking after the leather?

I have the Oregin Pearl Grey interior, the leather is still very good, bolsters are firm etc but how can I keep it that way?

I've been using Mer Leather cleaner and that's great for cleaning but what can I use to maintain it and keep it fresh?

Thanks

Mark

Gliptone Liquid Leather Conditioner is brilliant.

+1. Also use a JML magic sponge on the leather to get all the dirt out and then apply the gliptone 2 stage stuff

Genuine BMW leather product for me & well pleased :)
seems to hold the factory feel & look as opposed to many that leave the leather shiny & slippery

I bought my friend the gliptone pair as i couldnt bare to see his poor seats suffer any longer and whilst it seemed to do a decent job, the 'leather' smell was just too overpowering!

As a result I've been using the autoglym stuff on the Z and I'm more than happy with it. I was really surprised at the matt finish it left and the smell was subtle rather than dominating.

For an all in one, every surface treatment for the interior I'd highly recommend poorboys natural look dressing. Easy to use, goes a long way and smells great! Doesn't leave quite as good finish on the leather but it's versatility makes up for it.

does this repair and re dye too or am i thing of something else? for places like the bolsters that have worn

I think that would be more Liquid Leather and the likes. I'm using autoglym at the moment as is my dad and works well on both cars as mentioned above.
