Least Used Optional Extra

I was just thinking I use all of the optional extras i specified for my z on an almost daily basis...... the only option i have never used is the paddle shift.... it came as standard with the auto gearbox and so that has got to be my least used optional extra.

i must say that i was dubious about the heated steering wheel but have to sa,y to date, i have been most impressed with it especially on those cold mornings where it is a must along with the heated seats :)

so what optional extra do you guys use the least?

I use most of the extras every day, heated seats definitely atm, the DAB is on most trips as my music taste is questionable, dynamic/active suspension gets used most in sport mode when in tricky traffic, extended leather I caress lovingly with a duster most days, use the paddles too. Use voice control quite a bit too... usually with swear words attached as it misunderstands me, must be the Yorkshire accent.

I think the least used is probably the speech in the iDrive online portal. I have it read the news or weather forecast to me on some longer trips but thats about it.

I use the heated seats a lot & use cruise control on a long run, but I have never used the folding mirrors, I would love the heated steering wheel option that you have

We don't get the heated steering wheel on our vintage old zeds...one day I will make it into a real Z4 :)

i never specced anything on mine,

wasn't fussed with heated seats, prof sound system, wind deflector or extended lighting

so i don't use any less or want any more

The flappy ear raisers... or the little button that twirls the wing mirrors vertically

The warning triangle - mainly because I have never had to use it.

I use everything else, including the paddles when I feel like it. I just love pushing buttons :D

passenger airbag deactivation is prob the only thing on mine.... oh and the warning triangle, and CD player!

on mine i would say the voice control. it just seems a bit useless! i can do most things faster using the iDrive than talking to the damn thing!

other than that use everything i think!

Never used cup holders. Don't drink and drive.
Never used heated seats. Haven't got them.

ummmmmmmm that would be the little wheel that brightens or dims the instrument panel, everything else is used, its like a cockpit checklist ready to launch :driving:

The bluetooth phone thingy , so I could use the bloody thing on the move ..........why .... I want to drive it with no interruptions :driving: oh yes the folding mirrors :)

Since fitting the Smarttop to mine the mirrors fold when i lock the car so i now use them all the time, before i had the ST never used them!

I do use my Bluetooth but if someone phones me when I have the roof down I can barely hear them! So it defeats the object :D

i use the folding mirrors a lot, especially in car parks.

least used - internet. tried it in the first week, it worked (very slowly) but i aint used it since. it may come in useful one day.

The Nav part of Idrive, the rest is superb, but hardly use the navi!! (Still would spec it on a new one though)

Took the wind deflector out now its winter and the roof is up most of the time

yeah i have no use for the wind deflector at the moment but have left it in place as i dont want to drop the top to take it off right now..... its cold and wet :D

i dont think the warning triangle was an optional extra...... but i may be wrong

108 wheels - they have been off the car 3 years in need of a refurb! everything else is functional although CD's have become a thing of the past but the other day I played a proper HMV bought CD the real thing.!!! retro... lol it sounds amazing compared to the aux in. Im not talking volume but clarity. My cd changer is knackered so might look at removing it and fitting some kind of higher quality bluetooth stereo A2DP or better 3.5mm jack to bus converter.

Turn the volume up when nothing is plugged into aux... hiss hiss hiss.. its a really crap pre amp clearly.
