Least seen BMW....

Whilst I like the 2 Series (235i) its problem is the 135i regarding OTR cost which is a bit cheaper for basically the same car. The 2 Series is supposed to handle slightly better though, I would imagine down to slight different spring/damper rates for the hatch.

When was the last time you saw an 8 series?

Funnily enough, I spotted one on the M4 near Bridgend on Saturday. First one since I saw one in Cornwall, out with Buzyg last summer

Come to London, the roads are full of junior reps in 2 series BMWs, mostly driving like arses.
The lesser spotted Wilks 2 series does seem pretty rare, I suspect this is because it's just awful!

Saw a black 850 on Thursdat afternoon heading north on to the A1 about 14 miles outside of Edinburgh

As for 2 series, I see quite a few  in fact one has appeared where someone once parked an X5 :scratchhead:

The coupe and convertible are quite nice but the two tourers are best left in the showroom (or maybe even on the designer's sketch pad)

I've also seen loads of 'em. Think they are great - the proportions are just right to my eyes...

Doesn't the M235i come with an LSD as standard whereas the M135i doesn't - might help explain the extra cost?

Thought it was an option rather than standard fit... unless it's changed since the launch reviews

I was sure I'd read it somewhere, but can't see it mentioned at all in the configurator - or even in the options list... :headbang:

AIUI, it doesn't exist in the factory-build options list as it's one of the 'M Performance' add-ons which are dealer-fit

I had one as a rental in Florida in June - it was fine, but unspectacular......

Pity it wasn't an M235i I'm guessing if it was rental then it was a boggo car with the slowest engine :)

Tim.

Not a fan of the 2 series. Saw a fair few of both convertibles and coupes this weekend on a trip from Surrey to Silverstone.

In fact my step mum has just gone for a 230i M sport as her Honda S2000 is now leaking in two places on the roof and is coming up for 9 years old.

I've seen quite a few, don't really like the rear of them.. at all... but the front looks nice with all the 'M-performance' addons you can get these days. There's one in sunningdale that looks the bits (at the front only).

Yep, was only a 228 - still fine but not something I'd want to own....

I like the convertible but just hate that Sat Nav fin tail on the boot!! If modern E89's with Nav don't have them, then why do 235i's?
