Leaking near side rear light cluster

Yesterday I discovered the near side recess in my boot was full of water. After pouring water in and around the boot gutters, I worked out the water was entering via the foam seal between the rear light cluster and the bodywork. Water had also entered the cluster itself. The connector was also badly corroded and was almost destroyed when removing. Applying clear sealant has stopped the leak (see picture) Much cleaning of corroded contacts and spraying with contact cleaner was required to get things working again. I will need to replace both the cluster and connector (if it's available separately) in the Spring

If you need a new cluster I have a set for sale, as my originals came off when I bought some US-spec lights earlier in the year. PM if you want any details; they are in great condition.

I’ve got the clusters off mine (UK with Titan French fries) since doing the facelift. Let me know in the spring if you want it. Also might have a connector as well... happy to throw that in with the light if you want it. Or PM me your details and I’ll post it (connector) for free for a donation to the forum

Thanks for your post. I have already agreed a deal with Parabolica for a pair of rear lights. I am very interested in the offer of the connector and will gladly give to the z4-forum. A PM being sent with my details
