Leak in screen wash reservoir

Filled up the screen wash and 20 minutes later it was empty. Going to the garage tomorrow to get it fixed.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so was it an easy fix?
 
wheres it leaking from?

the bottle is piss easy to get out and swap

Maybe the pumps come loose and needs pushing back in, there are rubber filter seals

Yes but my leak was at the actual washer jet
 
If you have headlight washers they are often the weak point that leaks.
Pull them in and out a few times and they often reseat and seal.

If not as above pump seal to reservoir.

Definitely check the headlight washers,had this issue on an e46.
 
I do have headlight washers so ill try to re set them. Are they easy to access or is it a removing the bumper type job?

Not sure on the access but I would try removing wheel and going in through the access hatch in the wheel arch lining.
You may be able to see whats going on through there,less hassle than removing bumper.
 
Simple thing to try first... Fill up the reservoir and detatch pump to headlight jets on the reservoir, if you stop losing fluid then the problem is with one of the jets
 
My headlight washers went one after the other. Didnt see a pool of fluid but a full tank would disappear suspicious quickly. Hose clamped both washer jets and pulled the fuse to the pump, all fine now! Only doable if halogen, not an MOT failure unless hid or xenon.
 
Had a leak as well. The windscreen washer pump was the problem and replaced it with Meyle PN 100 955 0006.
To find out, I just removed the tank and filled it with water, then reconnected the pumps (windscreen and headlights) and could determine the windscreen pump was leaking. It costed me €7.5, for sure the cheapest part on the car :D
