Anyone going?
I have been to the "proper" Le Mans many times and thought that doing the Classic would be a nice change for 2018. In case you don't know they run cars grouped by decades from the 1920s through to the 1980s, each group racing 3 times over the 24 hours from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to see the Silk Cut Jaguar XJR8 and the Rothmans Porsches all the way back to the Blower Bentley.
Just waiting for my intended passenger/"navigator" to confirm and I'll be booking the ferry, camping and grandstand tickets. We'll be going on the Thursday and back on the Monday. Hoping to make time to go to the iconic Hotel de France at La Chartre sur le Loir which is where the teams used to stay and then drive their cars on the road to the circuit.
It's on the 6, 7 and 8 July 2018.
