Le Mans 2018 - who is going? :)

Really trying to get a group together for LM24! i did 2016 and it was epic, easily the best motorsport event i've ever done.

RE Vancouver Island - i'm there over the Festival of Speed weekend - which is annoying (missing FoS) and exciting (two weeks on VI!).

Looking forward to LMP1 (more than 6 months ago, anyway!) but disappointed none of the teams have taken the V10 option. Judd apparently had an offer on the table, and no doubt it would have sounded glorious.

arh that sucks, would love to see some nice sounding LMP1 stuff to replace the diesel audi :D

anyone any experience of multiple camping locations? I'm not sure if premier vert still has space, so if not - wondering where else is a good location and relatively safe for my new car.

I’m going to the Nurburgring 24 this year.

Quick question: which is better, Le Mans or Nurburgring 24?

Honesty is most appreciated

So - do we have a list? I'm still on the fence but very keen, and have a space reserved - just not yet committed as a large group i was part of collapsed before booking :(

Thinking about making some late arrangements to trek down from holland.

Anyone else from nl/be going from the forum to hook up along the way?

Best suggestions for camping sites close to track? I'll be taking my little one/man tent which ive subsequently managed to discover can actually accommodate one man plus a slightly smaller lady! :D

still teetering on the edge of going or not - we'd go for the 1st tickets blue nord site i think, but we had a load of drop outs so just 3 now (which becomes awkward with 2 seater cars..).

may just do squish in the m135i instead :/

I’m going to the Classic with some other friends for the 5th time and meeting up with Status in the other Z :driving:

Thomas Cook motorsport/airtrack is pricey but secure and has good facilities, food and showers. Your inside th circuit by the Bugatti track and ten mins walk to the pit stand.

Getting excited now - will be the first time in five years that I have driven the Z and rather looking forward to the convoy :)

when are you heading down Adam?

somewhat wishing i had a convoy to follow - that's half the fun!

Early Thursday morning 07:06 Eurotunnel crossing.

Whoop getting excited now! Group of 8 of us going, two on the Sunday before then six arriving on Wednesday. Staying just over the Dunlop bridge houx annex??? Not driving the zed though... more comfort and space in the 330d.

First time for me at le mans but going with seasoned vets so should be good!

For any first timers the following public service announcement is essential reading - ignore at your peril! 😆😆

Got back early this morning, the zed was faultless and aside from a fuel tank the size of a thimble and some nifty packing it made a great le mans companion and it got some nice comments and thumbs up along the way too :)

I'll upload my photos shortly :)

I agree re the size of the tank. I had never done a run of that length until Le Mans last year. Even though I stuck to the autoroute speed limits I only got 25 mpg and always seemed to be stopping for petrol.

I'm off to the Classic 2 weeks tomorrow! :)

Averaged about 25 mpg also on the way down cruising at 130kph ish. Back in England with shell power I averaged 31 for the 100 miles back from Portsmouth - weird!🤪
