Le Mans 2013

Niiiiiiiiice. What are you guys doing for euro breakdown cover? AA and RAC want about 30 quid to cover the long weekend, although I'm tempted to just get cover for Friday and Monday and leave someone else to do the Super U runs.

I'm going again, leave it late as ever and getting the tunnel over (or under?) on Friday morning. And slumming it in Beausejour once again. :thumbsup:

Hopefully stickering up next weekend, have something in mind but not sure how well it'll work.
 
Most of my stickers turned up today, so looking for good weather to get applying. By the time I've got all the bits, it'll be a replica of:

For breakdown cover I was also pleasantly surprised to find I was covered by my bank as well. I have twice driven to Scotland and back from the midlands in the Zed now so I'm pretty confident about the reliability. I wouldn't worry to much about it personally for £30.

Must remember to go spend some of the day standing on a bridge over the M20 on Thursday and Friday to watch all the supercars bombing down the road to the Tunnel 8)
 
After 6 stickers and a 1.5 hours in the cold I'd had about enough for today! Note to self, stop biting fingernails as they come in handy.

Also, on inspection I've scuffed one of my alloys rather badly in the rain yesterday, gutted.

I've gone for a retro zebra stripe theme this year! Still need to apply the obligatory pistonheads logo and track decals. And it's not meant to look "good" so don't worry if you don't like it! :P

I've not been to the 24hr since 2002 but went to the Classic last year and will go again next year, enjoy and looking forward to a bounty of pics !! :thumbsup: :driving: :thumbsup:

Will be there but going in the VW CC as there will be 3 of us!

Will keep a look out for you and if get a beep from a white CC it will be me.

There's a lot of posts on other sites about the nightmare that is Rouen at the moment (burnt bridge).

Yup we spotted that too, as we're coming from Dieppe we're sure to hit trouble. Alternative A or B then? :)

Well just boarded the ferry in Hull. Be in Le Mans tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully good weather will greet us at the other side so roof down all the way.
