Hi All

Just wondering if anyone knows how easy the lci side repeaters would be to fit, and if anyone has an idea of cost (i know I work at BMW but parts closed until monday lol :( )

Thanks
Matt :D

Hi Matt,

I think Maniac has ordered a pair which are around £50 each, from what I understand they're held on with double sided tape but you will have to remove a locating plastic tab that fits into a slot on the bodywork.

Tim.

I should be able to fit these next weekend so ill take pics etc when I do.

I expect the most difficult part to be the removal of the old units as BMW tell me there are only two ways, via the engine bay (bonnet must be removed as hinges are in the way) or via wheel arch (wheel and liner must be removed). Neither appeal to me so ill be exploring every option!

Don't forget to take some pics

They're on... Forgive the filters, the cars a little grimy and I thought the filters might hide it a bit! I really like them, but I appreciate they won't be everyone's taste, primarily because the standard ones are a bit unremarkable and these are the other end of the scale.

Yep - it's a thumbs up from me
When your car is acceptably clean, would you mind posting an unfiltered picture please?

Are they reasonably easy to fit? Are you just holding the long parts on with tape?

10 mins to fit if that. Marginally harder than fitting a stubby! Old ones pop out using a long screw driver inside the wing, new ones pop in. Held by metal clasps. The tail of the trim has sticky foam which I held away while fitting so I could adjust them then press to stick. Super easy.

Got discount from the dealer, total cost was £90. Not cheap and they feel like the weight of an a4 sheet of paper but they look nice. Not sure they light up as much as the original but they're ok.

Great, thanks!

As said, if you have any pics when the car is clean, please post them. :poke:

I think I'll order a set when I get back my holiday in a fortnights time. They do look good.

Seeing the 1st and 2nd picture, i.e. old vs new definitely makes the old ones look crap!

Please don't do this to me, its £90 I just don't have......

Will do :) as said they're a tad pricey but I've always felt the PreF side indicators let the Zed down a little :| so these are just the job :)
