I take back what I said about the rear earlier in this thread. I parked next to a white M sport this morning and the back is rather gawping in real life. It's like X1 parts stuck on a smaller car that can't carry off the bigger lights.
That was the same for me and at first I thought the rear was better but then I followed one (standard 1 series) and I didn't like the rear very much at all.

It's a shame as it's the view most other drivers will have. :D
Too true! :driving:

I'm going to get rid of my zed next march/april time and top of my list for a replacement is the M135i...2012/13.

Anyone own one ?

Boss or toss ?

I swapped my 2.0 E89 last year for one and having regretted it to be honest. The deal I received on the M135i was very good and stayed on the same monthly I was paying on the Zed. I was slightly forced to change as needed a hatch at the time however I couldn't get rid of the Zed soon enough as the engine was awful although I think it was a bad example in mine. I can't really compare the two as they're too different with performance being in a different league. The only thing I do miss with the E89 is the looks but thats about it. I did find the Zed a strange mix of good and iffy build, find my Z3 to be better in this respect.

I've had no problems with the M135i at all and has been a dream to run and find the engine a peach. Its worth having the adaptive suspension which makes the ride very smooth when you want it or configure the chassis and drivetrain to be more sporty when required. They come with non runflats as standard however I may spec runflats next time :o as I find the Michelin Supersports a mare for picking up stones which strips the paint off the inner bumpers
MPG, I can get 18 around town and 35 average on a run although eco pro mode is like driving through porridge so usually leave in Comfort mode on a run and flick to sport or sport + for some fun :)

Theres been problems on some cars with the radiator fan having a mind of its own and spinning up to full pelt and not stopping so would check on this if looking at a 12/13 plate car, the fan assembly is usually replaced. Apart from this they don't seem to have too many issues.

Tim.

Thanks Tim,

It's been a pleasure owning the zed but I will soon be needing something more practical and although I'm not keen on it's looks the M135i ticks all the boxes within my budget.

My uncle has a 1M which is what I really want :D
