LCI E89 gear shift paddles / M sill covers

Looking for a pair of the later style paddles (the +/- design, rather than the push pull ones) if anyone has some kicking about.

Will buy them attached to a wheel if the price is not horrific, or on their own.

Part number: 32306799619

Also while I'm bored and spending money on pointless upgrades I don't need, I'm also looking for a pair of M-sport sill covers to replace my current (non M-sport) set as the rubber surround is hanging off both sides.

Hi, try Silverlake they are breaking a couple of M sports, steering wheels have gone but the sill trims might be there: https://www.silverlake.co.uk/breakers/details/BMW-Z4-2009-To-2016-sDrive28i-M-Sport-2-Door-Cabriolet/27204

you could also try Synetiq: https://www.synetiq.co.uk/breaking-vehicles/#

I’ve got a steering wheel with the lci paddles on it Tim, if I can find it I’ll give you a shout and you can tell me to piss off when I tell you how much I want for it...... :D

Cheers John, yes do let me know - hope you're mending nicely.

Also relieved to see you've finally sold the Zed - that hanging around not being officially advertised was just far too tempting 😁

To give an idea of ballpark, I can get a M-sport wheel with LCI paddles for £270 delivered (2nd hand) is the best option so far (I already have a mint M-sport wheel bought off here).

With a simple modification you can change the push/pull paddles to pull - down left and pull - up right, takes about 5 mins more than it would do to change the paddles to latter ones and will save £270.

Thanks Zikim, yes I'm aware of this mod - I'm really OCD about stuff like this though so it's either LCI paddles or not bother, as I know it would bug me.

I've just recently changed my steering wheel to one with the LCI paddles, big difference I think from the originals... don't know what BMW was thinking the day they designed them

Seriously?? Wow, I haven't seen anything anywhere near that cheap.

Thanks - finders fee pint if you do find one

I did find one for £170 but when it arrived it was the old style, they said the one I was after was damaged (realised how cheap it was). The one I got I was originally going to pay £150 and the breaker rang me back to say that it had a scuff on the leather (I was sending it to Royals anyway), so I asked for discount and got £50 off  . Would the paddles fit from a 1,2 or 3 series... more of them available?

Don't believe so no - I've done a small amount of Googling and I'm fairly confident the Z paddles are specific to the Z wheel - as the little insert sections are a different shape where the paddles blend into the wheel housing (this is contrary to some Facebook chatter this week about fitting M3 paddles, but I'm pretty sure I'm right)

Right here we go....sorry to have been so tardy getting pics via PM Tim, apologies.

This was never fitted so as new, re-furbed by Bella Volante. The downside is I paid £450 for it....

No worries, John, thanks for coming back.

Looks like a cracker - if I were in your shoes, I'd probably be looking for a bigger return than I can afford though realistically given I'm trying to find an option somewhere under the £270 mark. I have the M-Sport nappa wheel already in perfect condition (picked up earlier this year), so would just be looking to sell on the wheel either minus paddles or with my pre-LCI paddles fitted. Let me know if there is a way forward here though. Other forum browsers who already have LCI paddles may be in the market for a freshly refurbed wheel.....?

Yep it’s brand new really Tim. Really sorry mate but I can’t let it go for £180 lower than I bought it. I kinda guessed it was just the paddles you ideally wanted but I said I had a wheel just in case. Tbh I’ll hang onto it as the way I’m messing with cars I’ll probably end up with another DCT E89.....

However it’s going nowhere so if you do want it anytime in the future just give me a shout. Best of luck in your search.
