Lazy flip screen

Hey all

This last few days, the pro nav screen has been lazy in displaying. It flips up quick enough but the image can take upto about a minute to display.
In one instance this week, it failed to display for the entire journey which took about 15 minutes.

Any ideas as to what's causing this?
 
Is it that nothing is displayed but it lights up or does it not light up at all?

Either way, sounds like a new screen...
 
It doesn't light up at all.

Eventually it will and there's no problem for the rest of the time the car is in use.
 
Mmmm, backlight then, which will likely mean a new screen FWIW. I've seen others need to replace damaged or non flipping screens, but I've not heard of a backlight failure... someone might chip in if they've had this..

It appears to be a problem which isn't run of the mill so I'll have to investigate further.
 
If the backlight has gone I'd expect to be able to see something on the panel in the right light. I'd check the cables, it might be a loose connection and the car bouncing around is making it.
