I would also consider how little they are worth, in relative terms. They may not look it to some, but they are a very cheap car these days, even mint examples are still way under £5k.

Which is why I would quite happily jump into one as a project car.

I think I’ve decided it does need to go, but I’m not desperate so will probably post up an ad soon and see what the response is. If there’s little interest or just silly offers then I’ll withdraw the ad and it try again in Spring. It’s tucked away in the garage on a trickle charger, so is coming to no harm sat there for a few more months.

I get that this is not a good time to sell a roadster, but there’s no harm in testing the water. It might just catch the eye of someone looking for this very car!

I realise that, under normal circumstances, a spring sale is easier but I’m not so sure you’ll struggle to sell currently as there seems to be a decent level of interest at the moment for good, sensibly priced Z4’s

I know that I will miss it. It's a decision that I will live with though. It is only a car after all and I can come back to Zed ownership again later, when I have more time to enjoy it.

Keep it, if it is not a hurry. Mine is all the time like that, I don't have a garage, but I invested in a good cover (also protection from the hail). We used Zed for vacations and weekends, and the daily driver is Mini + Vespa during warm days (I am in Croatia).
