Just got hold of a Launch X431 Fault Reader (the small one not the tablet type) as I wanted one that could activate various items (Disa valves, Vanos etc), but I'm struggling to understand how its meant to report the results.
Testing cooling fans, waterpump etc is easy as you can hear them activate, but although it implies the Disa valves are activated I can't hear anything (I'm not sure I should) and the unit doesn't show a result. The instruction booklet makes no mention of this activation function.
Has any one used these readers sucessfully?
