Launch events at dealerships

Anyone heard of any planned launch events at their local dealerships as all seems low key to my knowledge?

I had an invite to a ‘VIP Event’ at the dealership I use, but that was just to flog some stock I think - they did mention the Z4 but not that they had one...

I think the new 3 Series and new Z4 are being launched on the same day 9th March. Since the 3 Series is the much bigger seller I think it will take priority and the Z4 will just be an added attraction.

Could be wrong but that is just my opinion.

I've asked a few dealerships and they all give me the same answer that more information will be released closer to the time. Maybe I'm just not welcomed anywhere

The Z4 launch cars are already in the UK waiting on distribution by BMW. My local dealer in Scotland is getting three of them, presumably 20i, 30i and M40i. Also waiting on a call when they arrive.

They are now arriving at dealers (demos that is) - mate of mine's brother works at one and sent some pics this morning of the new arrivals

Cotswold BMW in Chektenahm are holding a launch event with unveiling at 11am on the 9th. Anyone is welcome.

If so thats quite ironic that ive been in touch with them recently, test drove an E89 4 months ago and was promised a call as soon as they knew when they were getting one in.
......I've heard nothing from them !

(Not to mention organising 2 meets with them that brought in about fifty Z4 owners ! )

Pretty crazy that they are just ignoring you after the footfall you have created in that place!

Yeah, it is at Dick Lovett Cribbs. Apparently quite a few attending Saturday morning. It sounds like is pretty open, so would just pop over if you want to attend it. They are taking bookings for a test drive in the demonstrator as well, so going to have a blast in it!
