Sorry. Can't help you. But I have to ask. Why would someone need launch control on a street car? No offense meant. But. Why let the car drive for you? Shouldn't you be in control of your launches? The iRobot computer controlled driving experience just doesn't sound very fun. You want to learn to get off the line quickly. Go to a private industrial area and practice. Again. No malice aforethought towards you. Just a general statement about launch control.

Simple.
1. make sure the engine oil temp in at normal (you now the position of the needle)
2. make sure there now't in front of you
and that the road surface is dry (unless you like going sideways)
3. place your left food hard on the brake,
4. select sport plus
5. select gear 1 with the gear stick (hard left and forward until 1 is shown on the dash)
6. This is the difficult bit. (foot still hard on the brake) and mash the throttle peddle in to the carpet (you will feel a small click like a kick down) the revs will rise to 3,800 rpm and you will get a chequered flag icon on the dash.........
7. lift you foot off the brake and keep your foot on the throttle until you bottle out.

Keep you foot flat for as long as you like car does gears as well, ass soon as you lift off the launch control turns off
Be warned, 1 in this sort of weather the car will slew around a bit, 2 ( as I discovered you look like a massive c**k doing it!!!!

bigdog - No one "needs" launch control on a street car, but one should at least be aware of how different options work on said street car even if it's all rather pointless once you have used it. I must admit that it will bring a smile to my face however, even if it's rather juvenile to be seen using too often. Further more why dose anyone really need a Z4 when a Miata will do, for a street car?

Yep, used mine twice. Once to see if it was there and once to try it out with my remap. Really quite impressive !
Can't say I'd wan't to do it a lot , it has to be harmful in some small way but as we all know "anything bad is always fun".
Oh yeah, the computer won't let you do it until there are sufficient miles on the clock to ensure a "run in" motor and it also says the car should be driven at least ten clicks to warm it up properly before trying this....and don't try it too many times in succession.
