Ok launch control is not working . Got the sdrive 35Si 340 bhp one . Anyway had it 3 weeks now ,I’m wondering if it’s the clutch ? Anyone help pls

Can not help with the problem but launch control IMHO is not something I would be using on a road car

Used to launch manually my Westfield and it is cruel on the mechanical parts of the car side step the clutch at 3/4 max throttle and balance the wheel spin and gear change on the limiter

I’ve been in a friends company car when it’s been used and it’s brutal - very effective but brutal! I haven’t used it and I’m not keen to do so.

1) Let the engine warm up (drive in for 10mins or so)
2) Stop the car and hold the brake
3) Put the car into manual mode and select 1st gear
4) Depress accelerator until flag appears on the dashboard
5) Release brake, keep your foot on the accelerator and away you go!

Just for clarification on the above
- holding the brake in point 2 should be left foot depressing the brake.
- You then have to activate SPORT+ on the Dynamic Driving Control
- Fully depress the accelerator with your right foot, flag symbol should appear on the dash
- Remove the left foot from the brake pedal keeping the right foot fully depressing the accelerator
- You also can't engage launch control until engine is warm, approximately 6 miles

Oh - remember to keep hold of the steering wheel

Yep good point! Also very specific regarding the 6 miles haha. OP This is the launch control procedure

I may be an old fashioned f@art but why would you want to thrash your car like this???? To serve what purpose??? The car is fast enough pulling off driving it normally.

Each to their own though.

I have to admit it was a good experience but best in someone else's car! Somehow it just felt much faster!

tried it once with my '09 35i, good fun but just as "ronk" said BRUTAL. dont think i will do it again as gearbox rebuilt/repair is not cheap
