Latest on the Stage 2 + Z4 35i - :-D

Hi All !

Happy new year to you all, I thought I would post a few pictures up as it's been a while and I've completed a few more mods recently.

I Have fitted:
- FMIC VRSF 7"
- Dual intake filters
- BBS Alloy wheels and Yokohama Advan sport tyres for now
- Decat Exhaust
- MHD Tuner stage 2 + Map - Approx 420 BHP crank
- Drilled Disc and uprated Pads

To do;
- BOV vales
- Decat downpipes
- Fit X pipe back into exhaust so it mixes flow and noise (Will sound better I think as now its almost as if its running 2 x 3 Cly turbo engines)
- Hybrid turbos - one day..

For gigs;
- Want to fit a Barry Wing , struggle to find something that will look classy / Aggressive - Might mock one up with cardboard to see haha!

For Summer;
- Road trip to Europe from UK - Possibly Alps or grossglockner :-D - Please give me a shout if you want to join in !

That's looking very awesome man!

That drop looks perfect! are you running coil-overs or just springs?

If you ever put her on the dyno please post the results as I am also running the MHD Stage 2+ tune, although I have most of the mods you mentioned other than the hybrid turbos.
What do you mean by fit x box back into the exhaust?


With regards to the drilled discs. Did you have them drilled or did you buy a set of drilled oem discs and if so what car are they from. I.e. F30 etc?

Ha the ride height is OEM :o but perhaps the 19s fill the arches in a way that makes it seem lower?

Ha I have contemplated a Dyno run but not sure I will get round to it to be honest.

By X-Pipe I mean on the OEM centre section there is a small part where the two pipes merge and it allows gases to mix.
On my aftermarket exhaust the two pipes are separate from the turbo back - So im thinking the exhaust may sound better if mixed! :-D

Um I bought the discs from Germany I think, Went for cast ones I believe as machined ones tend to crack - From Z4 35i.
I'll try and find a link :-D.

The company was Autodoc - they have mixed reviews ;

1. FDB4401 Brake Pad Set, disc brake 1 42,28
2. FDB4221 Brake Pad Set, disc brake 1 47,11
3. 150.3493.52 Brake Disc 2 116,62
4. 150.3491.52 Brake Disc 2 161,02

If that is OEM then something is very off with my car cause mine came with 19's from the factory and it most definitely doesn't look anything near that. :o
You sure the previous owner didn't play with the ride height at all?

Anyways it looks awesome.

I see what you mean about the mixing gases situation. I am definitely going to look into that myself then as I have two seperate pipes from the downpipes all the way to the stock oem back boxes, so I am probably running a very similar setup to you.

Hmmm, Well the car was totally Stock when I bought it, One previous owner so I would be amused if the old chap had lowered it :-D :driving: But I have thought before it seems to sit nicely. Maybe something needs replacing lol !.

Yeah I hadn't thought about it until recently, would be interesting to find out.
