hi all, been in the US working for like 6mths, in that time been getting the interior parts laminated, taken ages (6 mths actually) but here we are... top of dash board, door grab handles, elec window surrounds, gear stick surround... looks great and gives a nice feel to the interior.
Reason for doing this? some of you remember i had the lot wrapped in vinyl CF - well this bubbles after a time, and i couldn't stare at it any longer. Before you all go on about it, yes I'm doing the alu part of the tunnel as well, just not got round to it yet! ...
Bottom steering cowl is off as its in need of a respray - i got some TCut or something on it and its stained - although I'm tempted to also get her CF'ed. yikes.

Then had new Brake Disks replaced, didn't go for KSport BBK as planned, wedding is next year so the misses cuffed me on that mod. So just had the disks replaced with drilled Brembo's - this time though, i had the hubs dipped in HT paint so they don't rust - rears are the same (well i bought plain rears and had them drilled to match the fronts). Brembo pads as well. Looks pretty good through the wheels and didn't cost the earth.

Rear brake light has been replaced by a clear one, then tinted with film by LaminX, i feel it makes the trunk look simplified... although when polished at the weekend the damn stuff loves to sit on the edges. hmm.

Front head lights have been bought and will be fitted today, so more pics to follow.. got the clear EBay ones a few of us have got already - mine however are the smoked versions .....

you drilled discs yourself?! !?!

rather you than me, i would personally never go for drilled discs as they have a tendancy to crack under heat,

The CF looks lovely :)

yeah matched the holes to the fronts. i always feel the drilled disks just look better with the details of the holes through the wheels rather than plain ones... I've had both and just prefer. never had a set crack under heat so maybe i don't drive fast enough!

CF is brilliant, so glossy eh.

hi mate, new mats haven't arrived yet! hence the doormat. its lovely and thick though, with a nice pile twist. nicked it out of my dads Merc.
Will post pics of new mats when they get here! :P

You were doing alright on the London meet and IIRC you have the 2.2?

Car looks good. I was thinking of wrapping the roll hoops, centre console, etc. Any idea how much that would cost through your guys?

ha ha yes Peddy, i do have a heavy foot but only at weekends.
centre console i think was about 100quid, dash about the same, the hoops I'm waiting for a quote as I'm doing mine as well, maybe we send a bunch together for a better price.

Im sat here with full-on envy face! Cf is gorgeous and suits your stealth look, I'm biased though as I'm also running black on black 19s. The headlamps will make a massive difference and loving the smoked Four spots on the rear.

Can i just say nice car!! How did you get your rear lights like that? atm i have the clear absolute clear ones which i think your ones were orignially, and i had an idea of making mine like yours, and now that ive seen them I want it like that badly. I like the dark shade.

You beet me of the line with this one I had great plans in doing a cf skim on my dash and centre console. i have a spare set and was planning on haveing a go over the winter months but would be intrested if the price is write in getting done, so dash and centre console around the £200.00 mark is that right. By the way it looks the dogs  i had a cf dash (JCW) on my old Cooper S and like it so much, I was going to use and follow the well made vid from this lot

thanks mate, sorry i beat you! :P yeah price wise its about that - what with the postage etc. I used the same company CA Automotive uses, but went straight to them without the excess charges of CA.
i looked into doing it myself, but it looked a bit of a nightmare project so i gave up... and looking at the parts I've got back, the lamination is such a fine layer on top of the original part, i have no idea how they do it. its got a real depth to it which is obviously the material, but maybe its just one sheet of CF etc. hey ho.

thanks for the comments! them back lights : got them from a chap in Germany from Ebay. don't see them come up very often - i think the seller was called Roveractive or something like that.

Rear light are an easy mod to do if you can source your self some clear rear light unit, i not a brand new set of rear for £60.00
(ebay) and this is how they turned out
