Here is a picture of my latest mod and of a mod in progress. I swapped my standard MF steering wheel for a ///M Sport steering wheel and I'm toying with a different emblem on the bottom steerinf wheel spoke. I'm really enjoying the look and feel of the new steering wheel.

the M-Steering wheel is without doubt, for me at least, the nicest feeling wheel ive ever had the pleasure of wrestling with. I'm trying to get one in my 406 HDI too but it's not an easy mod .. :driving:

So, what's the diff with the regular m/f wheel? That one looks like the one in my Si coupe except mine has metal covered "spokes".

I too have an M Sport steering wheel on the way... I don't suppose you could give a brief step by step of what's involved to swap it over? I assume you have to disconnect the battery as the airbag will have to be removed during the work?

This also means I'll have a standard chrome-line M/F steering wheel up for sale in the near future if anyone's interested?

Spandex.

Looks sweet
How much was the wheel?
Also is there any way of knowing first if you can add steering wheel controls as i dont have them at the mo.

i wanted also to do the same mod but my dealer has told me that i will have to change also the air bag in order to work is it true or not thanks allot mate nice mod lucky you

Other than the looks, I like the black spokes, what does it do for you? My sports package wheel looks to be as thick. Other than that I would think it would be hard to justify the expense just for looks??? :?

I have driven my buddys Z4M on a few occassions and the wheels looks the ballcocks without doubt but i really do prefer my own because it is far thinner and gives much more feel than the thicker M wheel.. :driving:

I bought the steering wheel from another member of the forum. See thread. I was able to buy the necessary mult-function parts and install them myself but my car already had a multi-function steering wheel.

The airbag is the same and your dealer is wrong. No airbag codes or errors. Simply disconnect battery, unplug it, set it aside, remove old steering wheel, install new steering wheel, replace airbag, reconnect battery.

I prefer the thicker M sport wheel but then I was born with shovels for hands!
