Large pothole = 2x buckled wheels

Thanks for the link. Yeah I think there is still a chance and I have some ideas so will see how it goes.

I got fed up of a large pothole on my way home from work everyday, down a busy country road. For weeks it had drivers swerving around it.
I thought I would paint a big white ring around it to alert drivers.
About a day later someone beat to it.
Day after that it got filled in!
Would seem that's the way to embarrass the Council into action.

What gets me is why they don't fill in all the other holes down that road at the same time, whilst they have the repair equipment there.

You must be forgetting that would be involve common sense and/or a whiff of intelligence.

I'm not convinced the alignment has been done properly as some adjustments are outside of the min/max amounts and/or don't match on each side. Anyone here able to advise if this is ok?

Front camber can't be adjusted on the Z4 without fitting extra hardware, which explains why that wasn't adjusted.

The rear camber range show on the sheet is wrong. It should be at -2.25 to BMW specs, the acceptable range being -1.9 to -2.80.

Thanks. So the rear looks ok. What should the front camber be? Looks like it needs adjusting? I still feel like there is a slight shake in the car. It doesn't go away as you get faster. No may just be a bit over aware of steering shakes at the moment though.

Opps got the rear camber central value wrong by 0.1 deg. This is the E89 geometry I found in a scan from BMW AG document (per side, no totals):
Front toe: 0.02’ to 0.22’’ (0.12’)
Front camber: -0.1’ to -1.1’ (-0.6’)
Rear toe: 0.05’ to 0.25’ (0.15’)
Rear camber: -1.90’ to -2.80’ (-2.35’)

Problem is there doesn't seem to be any camber adjustment build into the Z4.

I'm not 100% convinced by the tiny toe figures there, I think they maybe 1 decimal place low (e.g. front 0.2 to 2.2 deg, 1.2 deg ideal) & if that's true you'll be fine. Front camber can't be changed & rear camber is almost perfect, erring on the low side for rear camber is a good thing for the Z4.

Ok good to know thanks the help. It's going in for a service next month so I'll get them to check things out then but... I am still getting a wobble feeling through the car. It doesn't go when I get to higher speeds which means it can't be tyres/wheels or balancing right? Must be suspension or bushes etc?
