Landscape or Portrait

All the Z4’s I’ve owned and restored have had landscape style service books. However I see some listed with portrait style.
With an idle mind I wondered if there was a pattern. Certain models, certain dealers, certain years. Are they just replacement books from a 3 series or similar?

What style do you have?

I have.. this is what it’s done to me 😳
I need to get a NEW hobby 😂

Don’t get one that involves ‘Graphs’… there’s enough of that going on in the E89 section of the forum  :tumbleweed:

My 2006 Z4 and my 2005 3 Series both have portrait layouts, but I'm pretty sure I've had landscape ones with previous BMWs.

FFS!

I voted number 3: 'why would anyone give a toss?'

Hey ! :) G-BOAE is a beautiful bird :) TF-AAK Had some interesting livery :)

Blimey you guys are a bit touchy!
I'm not sure who's worse.. me for posting this thread or you folks for taking the time to respond :poke:

To explain my question; I recently saw an ask for a 'not blank' service book. Someone obviously falsifying a service history somewhere.
I dont think I've have portrait books so wondered if it was something to be aware of. Some of you have.. so I'll get my coat.

Personally not touchy at all, and a valid question… especially in light of the relevation about the ability to buy ‘stamped but empty’ service books on eBay…. Just please don’t convert the poll findings into a spreadsheet
