Landsail runflat tyres

I have a pair of 255.35.18 run flat tyres with 5mm of tread surplus to requirement.
£50 for the pair.
Collection only
Manchester

8mm new

1.6mm legal tread

8mm - 1.6mm = 6.4 legal tread from new to illegal

6.4mm / 2 = 3.2mm = 50% worn

8mm - 3.2mm = 4.8mm relates to 50%

So actually 50% worn not over as I said. However without more readings we do not know if it is 5mm across the width.

I don't run my tyres down to 1.6mm.

An arithmetic lesson on Landfill tyres 🤔🙈

8mm down to 5mm = 3mm

5mm down to 1.6mm = 3.4mm

So 3mm used /6.4mm possible use = 46. 875% used...less than 50%

Looks like a better deal for someone 😎

As for "newness".. The date should be on the side....

I meant no scapes or bulges from curbing I appreciate they not new but might be of use to somebody.
Sorry I did not try to mislead . I’ve modified the post.

When I advertise tyres I never list the best measurement, you always advertise at the lowest point. So this is probably what the OP has done.

5mm may be like... 45% worn going by your calcs but in the real world 7 or even 6mm is seen as nearly new. So 5mm still has plenty of life/use.

I’ve sold surplus tyres with around 3mm tread. So that’s probably something stupid like 85% worn. Still a market for them tho.

OP, I’d advise listing on other platforms like Facebook. You’ll find a buyer pretty quick at £50 for a pair. You may struggle on here, predominantly because the Z4 is a ‘performance’ car. So many will want to choose premium or mid-range over budgets! :)
