Lancashire dilemma

I recently submitted a post with reference to servicing options in the Lancashire area other than a BMW main dealership but got little response so here I am again with a similar issue?
I recently had a very small dent removed from my nearside door all seemed fine until I washed the car and found a number of scratches on the door glass. To cut a long story short I am now in the process of trying to find a reliable company that will replace this but I have heard that it is not a straightforward repair as the glass has to be realigned etc. I am worried about damage to the door card, leaking wind noise blah blah if I do not find somebody with a good reputation. Call me paranoid but i am beginning to think that I should leave it alone rather than cause more problems. How difficult is it to do? Does anybody know somebody who would be able to undertake this job and keep my sanity intact? :o
 
Is it not worth seeing if a detailer in your area could look at polishing the scratches out if they are not too deep? Cheaper and easier.... :)
 
Can't help with body work but regarding your previous service post I can recommend through a friend a very highly regarded BMW specialist.

There called north west BMW and ther based in chorley. He has a 550 and they halved the stealers main service price and he said they checked a lot more than is stated on the service schedule.

I will definitely be trying them myself.
 
The previous owner of my car used North West BMW :thumbsup:

Very pleased that another forum member recommends them. I have all their invoices in the car file :)

R they based at Horridge, i called them yesterday then had the misfortune to reag a negative comment left on a forum :headbang:

Too deep i am afraid that was my preferred option :(
