Lamba sensor bank 1

hi guys

Appreciate some thoughts... have been battling lamba sensor issue for 6 months now. Had it replaced and a bunch of other niggles sorted by a local BMW independent. Mechanic was stumped as car driving fine no loss of power etc but light on dash keeps coming on despite being cleared and checked etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. Should I send the ecu for a fix ? Luckily the car sailed through mot no issues plus I just put good years on last week.

:-S

Edit gave it a few revs on drive today and all sounded normal... no error codes have come back on

Also... from mot to light coming back on and issue yesterday was circa 170 miles. Mainly shorter trips rather than 1 big one trip

The lambada sensor that was replaced, when was it changed, what make sensor was used genuine BMW or OEM? I would be checking that the lambada used is corrrect, I had a MAF fault on Subaru STI, had it replaced and a short while later fault came back, garage told me MAF is new so not that and ended up having injectors cleaned and other bits changed and still problem persisted. In the end I went got a genuine MAF and changed it myself... fault cleared the MAF the garage put in was a cheap one from Euro and incorrect, so just because the Indi have put in a new lambada sensor does not mean to say it might not be a faulty or an incorrect one

Hi Robbo,
A little info about your car will help us offer advice.
Such as, which engine are we talking about?

You will likely need to wait until the fault occurs again so that you can read the codes using INPA or similar.

If your code reader will show you live data, you can start confirming that each sensor is responding as it should. Get to know what good data looks like and compared it to the data you see when the fault occurs.

Hi guys

Apparently it was an oem bosch one that the indi used. Interestingly it was replaced by another guy and then the bmw indi agreed it was new ( went for a second specialist opinion after replacing first time and light coming back on)

Car is a coupe 3.0 2007 reg. I dumped a pic of the live data above but there is literally pages of the stuff so if you think anything useful to screen grab let me know and il do it

Really appreciate the opinions and il see if I can pop hood to see if it is the right sensor. Good suggestions!
