» Lake District Meet/Drive - SUNDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER

Just an update on this. Me and tom have both been absolutely snowed under with work and various other commitments (i've barely posted on the forum in a couple of weeks), but we'll be having a chat about meeting points/routes shortly and hopefully have some concrete details asap.
 
Now then guys! Quick update. Plan is to meet in Penrith on Sunday morning at 10-30am to set off for 11am in Aldi car park. It is just off junction 40 M6. Come off the roundabout 3rd exit North Lakes Hotel, head toward red rooster fuel station at the round about straight across and turn left past Cranstons butchers into Aldi car park :thumbsup:

Think tom is gonna post a couple of recommendations for hotels or campsites for anyone interested in stopping over at some point. Plenty of campsites and hotels in the area or if anyone wants to stop further down in Windermere/Coniston way I'll be driving up from barrow so can convoy with anyone up to penrith.

I've got Fri 14th off work on the rota, I could come up too perhaps. What with all the house stuff I haven't driven much this Summer and its :thumbsdown:
 
As mentioned 15th is the only sunday im un available :( maybe next time .

Im sure however it wont be the last in the lakes, theres some stunning scenery and roads over there. After the last two edition's of EVO mag, they have done a few of the routes and looks spectacular.

Its a good 2 hour plus drive for me as well. At least the engine will be nice and hot when I arrive :wink: :driving:

An hour and twenty for me to, but whats a couple of hours when we're in a Z!!! :driving:
