KW V3 any good?

Hello!

I'm offered a 2nd hand KW V3 coilover kit, hardly used. Ca 800 euro in all.

I realize it's a good price, but still a lot of money for me. Is it worth it?

I rarely take my car to the track, maybe once or twice a year. Other than that a summer daily, which I'm super happy with now with the Eiback ProKit springs. Not too hard hard or too soft, and seems to work wonderful on track too. Car at perfect height look wise.

The only upside I can see with KW´s are:
#even better comfort on road (?)
#even better on track

So should I..?

Yes, it's definitely better in both situations.

EUR800, seems a good price for used too, as I think they're about EUR1800 new.

in your situation and how your described how you feel about you car, i don't think id bother personally.

It's a lousy option mate. Don't do it. Now if you wouldn't mind can you PM me the ad in question? Just out of curiosity's sake! :D

From reviews the V3's sound like a very nice piece of kit and for the price (in indeed hardly used) I think it's a steal! But if you're pleased with ride, performance and ride height with what you have then no point really is there?

IF you've got the money freely available I'd say go for them, supposed to be excellent and if you found you didn't like them or didn't get around to fitting them you could sell them on for at least the same amount. Just make sure they are the Z4M specific fitment as the fronts are different from a regular E46 M3 (as Tom reminded me). :)

I'm a big proponent of KW V3s even for a road car. They enable you to get a compliant and composed ride without sacrificing any grip on the crap roads we have in the UK. The standard Z4M suspension is fine for a billiard table but not the real world - the car doesn't need to be anywhere here as harsh and choppy as BMW supplied it from new.

I'd like to say thanx for the advice, I finally went for the one from Dave - and bought it. Will collect tonight.
Watch out in the future Sell-section if I change my mind :)

Make sure you check wheel clearance. You need a front spacer for CSL wheels and it should normally clear with the 224's.
