I am assuming these are bdget tyres not suitable for an ///M, but can anybody confirm.

On a set of wheels i m looking at.

He did & rates them as a mid range performer at a decent price .
I have yet to have the pleasure in used/new/winters or summers so cannot form an opinion

I can confirm he did run them and I am now running them (I bought his ///M). Tyres are not too bad now it is warm but when it was cold and wet things were a little interesting... :D

Cant afford wheels and cost to re rubber at present.

absolutely nothing wrong with sticking on crap rubber if your in a financial hitch... we've all had those times, at least you've got the car.... stick on the tyres, and swap out when you can afford it... job done.... ive done it a few times.

Listed as a Premium tyre here.

Can't see any mention of them being a 'premium' tyre on that page.

It says 'ultra high performance' on the top - but that's a level below the 'Max Performance' of the Pilot SuperSports, F1A-2 and SportContact 5!

Fine for the summer and general road driving though - just don't expect to set any lap records on them :P

What's the point of paying top whack for a Premium brand if you're driving within the speed limits all the time?

Depends if the road you're on has a limit or not. I'm sure some of us drive on unrestricted roads at least some of the time, or push the car around corners at below the posted speed limit yet at what would be too fast for a Linglong Chungfook Premium All-State Super Happy tyre.

:P

at least with cheap tyres id be more inclined to launch from every traffic light....sports on dtc off

The next video would be of you still sitting at the lights with lots of smoke coming of the rear tyres, but not actually moving :poke:

Although I keep being tempted by all these cheap, kerbed 224M wheels. Fancy getting a set purely to fit the cheapest tyres I can find, just to spend the day drifting around Oulton's low-grip stages.

Unfortunately I'd still have to work out how to carry a spare set so that I could get there & back on decent/legal tyres. Wonder if someone makes a wheel/tyre rack for the back of a Z4C?
