Does anyone know where I can get the Krytox rubber lubricant from at a good price? Looking around there seem to be various sizes and types, all of which are VERY expensive. I'd like a fair amount to last me, its going on every rubber seal I can find!

Does that help with the getiing on and off of the gimp suit Maniac?

Ask tim!!!! :fuelfire:

He swears by this stuff, as well as the gummi pledge stuff.

I have gummi pfledge, but it doesn't last very long.

You can quite literally get into the rubber but not out!!

To be fair, that would bug me less than the squeaky car rubbers!

I ve heard good things about this lubricant. The problem is its price. I guess though that at this price it has to be extremely effective! Keep us posted as I (and I guess many others here) am really interested in something that will make my car less squeaky.

So the Krytox has arrived. There I am expecting quite a large bottle for £38... Its like a nail varnish bottle... tiny! This stuff will be used sparingly for sure.

Google image... to show scale... I may have held off if I'd seen it before...

Yowzer..

Well I put some on the boot rubbers and rear clamshell rubbers so far. Still more to do and once done i take it for a run. It's funny old stuff. Consistency of thick honey and takes some applying.

I use this which is 14 quid which is used to lubricate rubber seals on diving equipment but can be use for Automotive uses.

Tim.

Yep that's what I bought, just a lot more of it. I have to say I've done quite a bit of the car with just a bit of this stuff so it should last an age...

One thing I have noted is that now it's rained the krytox has run all over the paintwork :(
