Morning all,

Is anyone running the koni sport yellow adjustable?

Interested to know views/thoughts on how they compare to Bilstein/standard

Many thanks

I just ordered a set of these

I have Koni yellows on my E46 M3 and find them a nice balance of being adjustable between sporty and comfortable for road use so didn't hesitate to get them for the Z

Great, many thanks, so on the softest setting they still offer good damping but don’t shake your fillings out?

I have Koni shocks with eibach springs on my current 3.0si. I bought this zed with this setup already fitted but I have previously owned a 3.0si with standard msport suspension.

The Koni shocks are much more compliant and forgiving over rough and uneven road surfaces, they don’t crash about and knock your fillings out like the standard stuff. They are nice and progressive though so firm up nicely and allow you to push the car into a bend, because the car doesn’t pitch and dive so much it’s easier to balance the car through the bends. I would definitely recommend them.

I can’t comment on how they compare to Bilstein as I’ve not driven a zed with them fitted.

Yep. I've had a few complements from passengers in the know as to how comfortable but sporty theKonis are on the M3. Like Dave1971 said, very progressive, a world of difference from the standard msport feel - like on my wife's 1 Series - which is brutal on a potholed country road.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ve done a fair bit of off-forum reading on these as well as searching here.

Managed to get a good deal on the Koni-Sport kit, which comes with H&R springs but I fear the drop on these will be a bit too much for me as they’re 35mm. I reckon I should be able to get a decent amount back on a brand new set of H&R’s & go with Eibach Pro springs instead.

Thanks for the input

Be selective about what you read about ride height drop with different springs. I think the 35mm drop for H & Rs might be compared to an SE set-up that sits 15mm higher than your Sport.

It is yes, but that still makes an E85 pretty low I think… trying to find photo’s

I don't know if it helps as mine is an MC, but I've got H & R coil-overs fitted set as high as they will go, so according to H & R it is 23mm lower at the front and 19mm lower at the rear. I wouldn't want it any lower but it's OK over speed bumps now, although it wasn't when I got it as the previous owner had it slammed.
