Koni Sport shocks question

I think Ive settled on Koni Sport shocks for the front of my 3.0i - they are only £147 from larkspeed which I think is pretty good and I like the fact they are adjustable.

All the sellers of these list them as suitable for 03-08 z4s 2.0 , 2.5, 2.5si , 3.0si .... just wondered why they didn't include 3.0i ?

I take it if they fit the 03-08 production run of the car they must fit the 3.0i with m sport suspension...

Also if any of you have experience of Konis would be good to hear it. Been searching for opinions all night!
 
Well Ive seen some other people with 3.0i cars have them on this forum so Ive ordered a pair.

Might upgrade the rears at some point soon to the same if Im happy with them. Looking forward to seeing the difference !

Fitted Koni sports to my 3.0 si last year, compared to the OEM dampers they are far more progressive. The car is a lot less crashy on poor surfaces and the tendency of the back to skip if you hit a bump mid corner is a lot less evident.

On my car (With Eibach springs), I've played around with settings for road use and have settled on 2 clicks up from soft on the front and 1 click on the rear. More than this makes for a very firm ride, but it's a matter of personal taste :) .

I put them all round on my z3m coupe , work well but if they are similar to what I used , same price range so imagine they will be, the adjustment is quite basic at 4 stages , no bad thing as it keeps it simple . I had to drop the shocks off the rear to adjust , z4 may be different .
Made my old coupe a different car altogether around the nurburgring , I've been going years but first time in a standard m coupe I thought about asking for my ticket money back it was that bad :rofl: the Konis made a huge difference and were ok on the road , stiff but controlled .
 
Forgot to ask , are the shocks bolt on replacements or inserts ? the latter involves cutting your old struts up with a grinder hence more time in fitting them if your paying someone , it's not to difficult of a job if your confident with power tools and spanners .
 
Good to hear some positive feedback guys , thanks. I think the fronts at £147 ea is pretty good too.

Looking forward to getting them on now! A reduction in crashiness would be fantastic.

I'm pretty sure they are full replacements
