Koni shocks on, but adjustment tool wrong?

I have now replaced my 2 front dampers with Koni yellow adjustables. The shocks are on and no problems there but when I went to put the little white knob Koni provides onto the top of the damper it will simply not slide down onto the lug to adjust. It seems the tool is just too small?

Has anybody else had this issue?
 
Little update - there are two different sizes of adjustment tool from Koni, 5mm X 2.7 mm and 7mm X 3.2 mm

The tool I have actually seems a bit between the two sizes so I think its been made wrong. Emailed Koni UK distributor and they said they will send the larger size I need out to me :thumbsup:
