Kone Dampers Good?

Has anyone fitted Kone Special Active dampers to their E89, if so what’s your review of them?

I wanted Bilstein B6s and ordered Eibach springs to go with them, but nowhere seems to be able to get B6s for months, I’ve tried AUTODOC, Demontweaks, Bilstein themselves, and 2 pages on Google worth of Modifying companies none of them have them so I have the Eibachs coming but wondered if the Kone would be a good alternative

Koni are a Tier 1 supplier of dampers..IMHO probably better than Bilsteins but that my supposition ..I've used them on motorbikes in the past and they were pretty OK..not in Ohlins territory but good..

I've got the Koni Sport Yellow adjustable (rebound) on my e86 and find them excellent, no complaints at all.
I'm not able to compare them back to back with others but how they feel, and what others say about them, they should do you fine. 👍

How long have you had them and have they had any issues

Would be nice to have dampers with just a knob on the top so you could twist and set to your liking.
The RX7 came with electrically adjusted damper with servo on top.
Koni was some kind of variable rate damping.

I have had them on a Mk 1 ford escort back in the 1970s and currently have had them on the sprite in place of the lever arms for probably 10 years with no issues. Low mileage but quite stressed ! Easily adjustable with a screwdriver on the side.
